Traditional Rummy Tips
Traditional Rummy game is not an easy game to play. Just like playing
Gin Rummy and
Kalooki, you must get your skills into action, in order to play and win Traditional Rummy rounds and games. You can play online Traditional Rummy with 3 opponents, two or even head to head game, but you always have to be the most skilled player, if you want to win Traditional Rummy.
1. Rule number one in Traditional Rummy is to make sure which cards you
discard and when. When you are playing Traditional
Rummy online, you see the other players discarding their cards in each turn. You must remember the cards and use this information to know which cards to
meld. Your online opponents are doing the same, that’s why you have to make sure you do not share important info to them.
2. When you meld your cards, try to keep the cards that can give you the best chance to have a
Set or a
Run. If you are holding several unmatched cards, take a look at them and try to meld them in your mind. Now get rid and discard the card that has the lowest possibility to become a Set or a Run.
3.
Drawing cards from the
discards pile is another great way to collect information about your online Traditional Rummy opponents and their thoughts. By memorizing these cards that your opponents are discarding, you can know which cards are about to stay in your opponent's hands and what you can do in order to have some other sets and Runs and win the Traditional Rummy game.
4. If you think to win the Traditional Rummy round by Going out, make sure to have all the information before. Do not go out with all your cards unless you can see for sure that no one of your online Traditional Rummy opponents can beat you.
5. Remember that when the main card
deck is down to two cards only, the Traditional Rummy round is deleted and there are no
winners and losers on this round. You can use this option when your position is really bad.
Feed your Traditional Rummy opponents with different cards and make sure to have this round off.
