Rummy
School - Lesson 8 - Type of Players
In Rummy there are 2 main types of players: a measured player (moderate) and aggressive mysterious type of player.
When the player is playing cautiously and in a calculated way he tends to
meld and reveal his cards the moment he gets the chance to do so.
That same player will be very careful not to get caught with all the cards in his hand, he will rather stay with as less points as possible, which in the long run can be a right more when you play in
Elimination Tourneys.
When the player is playing in an aggressive mysterious way, he will rather not reveal his cards so fast in front of the other players and try in most cases to do a hunt (a move in which the player reveals all of his cards in series and ends the game), or in some cases the player will be left with one card. This proves the mysterious of the player which makes it difficult on the other players to read his moves and understand his status in every stage of the game.
The history and the statistics shows that a combination between this 2 types of players are the players who most likely to win and be ahead of the rest of the players.
The player who will know to maneuver his moves and change the game strategies from game to game will make it more difficult on the other players and in the long run he will be ahead and win.
Of course, the player's game strategy will be revealed to the other players as he plays with them more and more, and so if the player will know to change his game strategy from time to time and adjust it to each game, he will be the one to determine the future of each game with time.
This is why we offer you to try and be some of each player, try to be measured and moderated in some of your games and try to be aggressive and mysterious in some. Versify your game strategies and this way your competitors won't be able to figure you out. With time you will be apprehended as leading players in the field and you will reach high achievements with lots of profit.
