Rummy
School - Lesson 1 - Beginners guide
Would you like to join millions of people all around the world, who are making money playing rummy online? If your answer is yes, you are in the right place.
These are differences between the different versions of the rummy game; this is why we recommend starting and practicing the simplest version, the traditional rummy.
This is the easiest and most comfortable version for the beginning player, the object of the game is to create series with the cards you have in your hands, and you can reveal (meld) the series at any stage of the game even if you have only one series. There's no need to reach a sum of 51 points and more in order to meld the cards (like in the Kalooki version).
At any stage in the traditional version you can meld series on the table and add cards to already melded series.
The goal is of course to be the first player who finishes all the cards in your hand.
In this version you play with one deck of 52 cards with no jokers. Every player is dealt 10 cards.
And now, to the game. At each round the player begins his move with drawing a card from the deck pile and ends his turn with throwing a card to the discard pile.
TIP: If you know you are not going to win the game, try to stay with the lowest value of cards as possible, this points are counted as negative points against you.
If you consider yourself as a beginner who only know the rules but haven't really tried the version of the game with experienced players, this is the time and the place to start and practice the simplest version and play for practice money. The moment you feel you are improving and learning the techniques and the strategies of the game, you can move on to the next level and try to play for real money and learn the different versions of the game.
The more you understand the rules of the game in all the different versions, the bigger are your chances to become a better player and make more money – real money!
Good luck!
