Rummy Multi Table Tournament (January 2008)
The first Multi Table Tournament was launched by Rummy Royal on January 2008. The multi table is intended for a large number of players.
Rummy Royal launched the first tournament on Tuesday January 8th 2008 in beta version and only existing players were given the opportunity to test it.
The success was enormous and almost 300 players registered for the first rummy tournament, which is the world biggest rummy tournament.
The tournament was very successful and lasted almost 2 hours. Due to the high demand of other players after the rumor was spread quickly, the company decided to open another tournament for players who didn't register on time so at the same time there were 2 active tournaments running with a large number of players.
The Multi Table tournament allows a large number of players to compete and reach the highest ranking at the tournament.
The Tournament can hold hundreds of players, the more players participating, the highest the guaranteed prize be. Registration for this type of tournament usually starts one day before the tournament is scheduled to take place, this gives just enough time to register for the tournament.
At the beginning of the tournament, the players are divided into tables, as in each table there 4 players will seat. As the tournament progresses, the tables are narrowed down as the players are losing the points they have and gets eliminated from the tables.
The Multi table tournament lasts for a long period of time, considering the number of players of course – the more players the longer it lasts until you reach the final table which holds the 4 finalist players.
Usually the first 3 places will be given cash prizes and in such tournaments the prizes are good, considering the entrance fees which are paid in order to participate in the tournament.
For example: It's possible that these tournaments will be entry free which will draw a very large number of players, and in this case a certain entry fee will be charged. The entry fee will be so low that every player can afford it and the prizes will be worth while for the winners.
Due to the immense success of these tournaments, Rummy Royal decided to run 2 large tournaments a day. One Tournament will be held in the morning and one in the evening. Currently the tournaments are freerolls (no entry fees) so existing players in rummy royal can participate for free.
