Oklahoma
Gin Rules
During the
Oklahoma
Rummy game you must
meld your cards into sets and runs.
A "Set" is a group of three cards or four, all with the same value. For example: 4-4-4 or K-K-K.
A "Run"
is a sequence of three cards or more.
You can use the Ace card only as low value card into your Runs. For example: 7-8-9-10 is a nice Run, like A-2-3.
In your turn you will have the time to
draw a card from the
deck pile, and enough time to think and meld the cards in your hands. At the end of your turn you will have to
discard one of your cards and the turn moves forward
to the next player.
When a player performs a
knock, his
deadwood (unmatched cards)
is summed up, as well as the other players. The gap between the total points of the deadwood cards is the
winnning score.
When a player goes Gin, all cards still in his opponent's hands are all summed up and the total amount is the
winning score.
The scoring points in Oklahoma Gin Rummy are calculated as follows:
Ace card, as mention above, is one Point.
All number cards have the value of their own. Two card value is 2 and so on... All face cards equals to 10 Points
Oklahoma Gin Rummy offers some bonuses for the winners:
• The winner of the Oklahoma rummy who gone gin, an extra 25 points will be added to his rummy balance.
• The winner who won by
undercut,
an extra 10 points will be added to his
