How To Play Oklahoma Gin

The Oklahoma Gin Game is played similarly as the other versions of the rummy game. All players will take turns clockwise. Each player must to draw a single card from either the Stock Deck, which is also known as the discards pile or the Open Pile, and then discard one of his cards that he don’t need in order to meld the cards into the sets and runs. These unwanted cards should be in the discards pile.

The Oklahoma Rummy game continues this way, almost during the whole game. The only obligation playing Oklahoma rummy is that the player can not take a card from the deck pile and then discard the same card at the same turn.

All of the Oklahoma rummy players, and this is the best part of the game, can meld their cards at any time during the rummy game. Any other player, who has already meld his cards once, may place any appropriate cards from his unmatched cards, into his opponents Melded cards. Of course you can also knock if you have the reason to believe that after you melded all your cards, you have the lowest deadwood cards. Remember that your opponents are waiting for you to knock early so they will be able to undertake you and win the rummy round.
