Play Gin Rummy with Three or Four Players
When you play
gin rummy with three players, the dealer only deals the cards out to the other players, and does not participate in the card games play at all. Each hand is dealt by the loser of the previous hand, so it is played between the winner and the dealer of that hand. With 4 players, there can be 2 teams of 2. To do this, the pairs split up and then each player plays a separate game with a member of the opposing team. They then alternate opponents while remaining on the same team. When the hand finishes, if both players on one team won, the total of their points is added to the team total. In the case the winners are from separate teams, the higher score receives the point difference. The winning team is the first team whose cumulative score reaches 125 points or more.
