Red Hot Rummy is another online rummy website.  This rummy website is open to player in the United States which is great and they offer a 100% deposit bonus up to $150 for all new players that register.

Red Hot Rummy is one of the largest website that is dedicated to online gin rummy games.  This website launched in 2006 by Game Account which is an online skills games provider.  The software that is used on the Red Hot Rummy website is very close to that used in modern online poker rooms.  The software is fast and reliable and the graphics are very realistic too.  The software is fully flash based so this means that players don’t have to download anything.  Another great thing about this is the fact that Apple and Linux users can also battle it out against Windows users.

The gin rummy lobby on the Red Hot Rummy website is extremely easy to navigate and it separates the open tables from the match play games and money games and you can also create your very own friends list and chat with other gin rummy players using the instant messaging facility.

When you sign up with this gin rummy website you can avail of a 100% deposit bonus up to the value of $150 and the currencies that are accepted on this online rummy website are US dollars, Australian dollars, British pounds and Euros.  You can deposit money into your account by credit or debit card, direct money transfer and cheque.  The software that is used on this website is Game Account Global.

All in all I found this online rummy website very easy to use and navigate and I think it is perfect for anyone that wants to play just gin rummy.

Oklahoma Gin Rummy as it is commonly known is another variation of Gin Rummy and it requires a great deal of skill.  In this post I want to provide you with some great beginner strategies so that you can master this great online rummy game too.

The first and probably the best tip that I can give any newcomer is to always have a second option in this game.  If you miss your chance to pick up a card that you want then you need to have a backup plan.  Oklahoma Gin only uses one deck of cards so if you do miss your card you won’t get the chance to get it again.  By devising a plan for a second option it will give you another strategy to play for.  This is perfect for beginners and it will also help to develop your skills.

The next important beginner’s strategy is to be aware of your opponents move and the cards that they are drawing from the discard pile.  You should also try to avoid picking up cards from the discard pile as this will give away some of your hand too.  You need to keep your game plan under wraps.  Being aware of what your opponent is doing during the game is vital if you want to perfect your strategy and be in with a chance of winning.

The cards you discard are also important and at the beginning of the game it is normally advisable that you dispose of your highest cards so that you can avoid getting penalty points if you lose the game.  There is a lot of information about discarding cards and reading up a bit about this before you play is very helpful.

Melding is another aspect of this online rummy game too and again there are multiple articles on how to create melds and what you should be on the lookout for.  You really should read as much as you can before you play for money.

Knocking is that last thing that you need to know about and you should always try to knock before you opponent does.  This is a tricky thing to do correctly and you do need to understand the art of knocking to complete your strategy.

There is a lot to the game of online rummy and all beginners should read and learn as much as they can before they start playing for real money.

Gin Rummy is probably one of the most popular variations of rummy when it comes to playing online. The main goal of this online rummy game is to score higher than your opponent and the purpose of this post is to give you some valuable tips on how to do just this.

The first tip that I want to tell you is that you should always play free games at first before you start betting any money. Gin Rummy can be very addictive and because it is so entertaining you can lose track of the amount of time and money you are spending. Because of this if you are just a beginner it is best to play free online rummy first until you have a solid strategy that you can use.

When you are playing Gin Rummy online a very useful trick is to get to know your fellow players. Observe them and get to know what their reputation is. When I say observe try to work out what this players strategy is and you pick out the tactics that you can use in your own game too.

The third tip is to realize that when it comes to Gin Rummy sets are better than runs most of the time. Sets are 3 or 4 cards which have the same number but are in different suits. Runs on the other hand are 3 or more cards that are in the correct order and have the same suit. It is always easier to get a set than a run before the games ends so if you aim for this you have a better chance of winning.

My final tip is to get a good poker face. I’m sure you know what a poker face is so when you pick up that card you have been waiting for you need to make sure that your opponent can’t tell how happy you are.

Now that you know these few Gin rummy tips you should be able to make your online rummy game go a little better and if you are a beginner then hopefully these tips will save you from losing a great deal of money in the learning process.

If you are someone who wants to play online rummy for cash prizes then Vegas 3 Card Rummy is a great way to do this.  In this online rummy game the player is pitched against the dealer and this is a really exciting and fun game.  The game uses a single pack of 52 cards and has some great graphics too.

Depending on where you play this great online rummy game you should find that there are a wide range of betting options and this is what makes it ideal for beginners.  If you are new to the game you won’t lose too much money as bets can be as low as $1 or $2.  This is great and once you have mastered the art of this great online rummy game you can start upping the stakes with the maximum bet you can place being $250 with great payout odds of 98.5% meaning that you really can win big sums of cash just for playing cards online.

In this online rummy game both the player and the dealer are dealt three cards each.  The dealer’s cards remain face down and the players cards are face up.  The aim of this online rummy game is for the player to get fewer points than what the dealer has and the dealer has to have 20 points or less to qualify for game play.  If the dealer does not have less than 20 points in his hand then the player automatically wins on the ante and the raise is paid to him.    It is the pay tables in this online rummy game that determines the pay outs for the bonus bet and once a hand has been dealt and won the cards are then re-shuffled for a new game.

The scores in this online rummy game are the same as most other game with cards being given their own value and face cards getting 10 points each.  The ace is worth 1 point.  This is a very fast and exciting online rummy variation and one that takes quite a lot of practice so if you plan on getting in on this action be sure to read up and learn as much as you can before you bet high.

Online rummy has become very popular and because of this there has been an influx of new online rummy websites.  There is extremely tough competition among these websites and this has given rise to a great number of promotional campaigns and some marketing gimmicks too.  If you are looking for an online rummy website to play at then there are a number of things that you need to take into consideration.  There are a certain number of things that your chosen online rummy website should have too.

The first thing that you need to do is check the security features of the website.  Most online rummy websites will clearly outline their security policy and tell you what type of software they use for your protection.  If they don’t then move on to the next website because you don’t want to take any risks especially with websites where you will be giving personal details.

Here is a list of great guidelines for you to follow when choosing an online rummy website:

  • Read the privacy policy and user agreement before signing up.  Make sure that you read all the terms and conditions too.
  • Try to read reviews on your chosen online rummy website before you give out your credit card details.  There are fraudulent websites out there.  Online rummy is a game that you can play for money so you need to make sure of the websites reputation before you put in your credit card information.  If you do give out your details then you need to make sure that you check your credit card statement when you get it and you need to keep an eye on all the transactions that occur.
  • Read the cookie policy.  Many online rummy websites use cookies so be sure you know exactly what they are being used for.
  • See if there is a community discussion board or chat rooms where you can discuss the website and its features and policies.

As with all online gambling websites you need to be sure that your details are safe and the only way to do this is to do a background check and your own personal research before you sign up.  Online rummy is very popular and the two main online rummy websites are 32Red Rummy and Rummy Royal.  There are more but a lot of websites that claim to offer online rummy games actually just transfer you to one of these websites.

When it comes to Gin Rummy there are actually three ways to play.  These are first to knock, match play and money play.  First to know is very easy and this is when the first player to reduce their deadwood cards to ten points or less can knock and win the game.  They also win whatever money is at stake.  This is the fastest version of gin rummy and this version relies more on luck than the other two versions but it is probably the best introduction to gin rummy for beginners.

Match play is the second way to play gin rummy and this version requires several hands of cards and using a scoring system in order to determine who the winner is.  Points are calculated s the difference between the winner’s deadwood points and the loser’s deadwood points.  The scores are added up after each round and when a player’s reaches a certain amount of points they win.  The number of points is usually decided upon before the game starts and the most common number is 50 or 100.  Players can receive a bonus of 25 points if they win with a zero deadwood hand or if they win by undercutting their opponent.  The winner takes the money that has been staked at the beginning of the game only.

Money play is the third way to play gin rummy and this is usually played to 100 points using the same scoring system as the match play version.  The difference with this variation is that money is paid per point difference which means there is a greater chance of some big wins.

Gin rummy is one of the most popular online rummy games with some great tournaments and cash prizes being given out on some of the big online rummy websites such as 32Red Rummy and Rummy Royal.  If online rummy is a game that you would like to play for cash then you really do need to read the rules carefully and get in some practice before you enter any tournaments.  There are a number of rummy variations and each variation will have their own specific rules.  Most online rummy websites provide rummy guides so be sure to read these and practice using free play as much as possible until you devise your own winning strategy.

Rummy 500 is a great variation of the traditional rummy card game and with more and more websites now offering players a way to play this game online it makes a lot of sense to post on how to win at Rummy 500.  Listed below are my tips to winning this very enjoyable online rummy game.

The first thing I do when playing this online rummy variation is to get cards in my hand.  Most players do the opposite of this and try to get rid of their cards are quickly as possible.  This actually leads to your opponent having to subtract points from their hand and you not having a lot of points in your hand either.  If you follow my tips and try to get as many cards in your hand as you can then you will have more chances to get more points and you might even be the person in the game who can pick up what your opponent discards and actually play with it.

My second tip for winning Rummy 500 is to put down half of your pairs.  Most people will for example get 2 queens and then hold on to them hoping that they will be able to get another and then put them down.  I like to discard one of them and this way my opponent will think that I don’t have the other and they will discard another one.  I can then pick it up and play with it.  Even if they don’t put down a queen it can still be an important move because the cards can pile up and when you finally do get that 3rd card you can play them and you will have a bunch of other cards that can give you some more points.

My final winning tip is to discard your higher cards if you think that our opponent is going to go out before you.  This way if they do go out first you will lose the least amount of points you possibly can.

That’s my tips for winning at Rummy 500.  Do you have any more that you would like to share?

Online rummy is becoming increasingly popular and if this is something that you are interested in then this post is for you.  Rummy is a card game that is played using a standard deck of 52 cards and there can be anywhere from 2 to 6 players involved.  Before starting the game a target score is agreed upon and this is normally 100.  After dealing out the cards usually 6 or 7 the remaining deck is left as the stock pile.  The top card on the stock pile is turned over and this starts the discard pile.  The principle of the game of rummy is to match, draw and discard in order to arrange your cards into melds.

The first variation is Gin Rummy. This online rummy game has between 2 and 4 players and uses a standard deck of cards.  There are no wild cards in this game and all players receive 10 cards each.  A meld will consist of three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive order.  Players can knock if they have 10 points or less in deadwood.  Players can only lay off cards at the end and if a player melds all their cards and has a deadwood of zero they can call Gin.

Oklahoma Gin is a two player version of this game. The maximum number of points that can be knocked by a player is decided by the rank of the upcard at the start of the game.  The value of this card can be known by both players even if the upcard is taken at the beginning.

Canasta is a variation of rummy that uses two decks of 54 cards and includes jokers.  The number of cards that is dealt will depend on the number of players in the game.  Up to 6 people can play this game.  The main goal in this version of rummy is to secure the most points by melding your cards rather than going out as quick as you can.

Kalooki 51 is another variation and this online rummy game uses a single deck of cards and includes jokers.  The Ace value in this game can either be 1 or 11.  As soon as a player goes Kalooke every ace or joker in their opponents hand costs a penalty of 11 and 25.

Kalooki 40 is the last online rummy variation that I want to tell you about.  This again uses 54 cards including jokers and the ace value in this game is 11.  The ace can be melded with a King or Queen or at least two other aces.  As soon as a player goes Kalooki every ace or joker your opponent has will have a penalty of 11 and 15.

That’s it for the variations and I’m sure you will agree that there are plenty of great online rummy games for you to choose from.  Most online rummy websites will have tips and strategy articles for you to read too so be sure to check them out.
